Representative survey: homeopathy is female
According to a current survey commissioned by the magazine Baby und Familie, 60 percent of adolescents and adults use homeopathic medicines at least occasionally. GfK Marktforschung Nürnberg interviewed 2,183 people aged 14 and over. For women (41.4 percent), homeopathy is much more popular than for men (18.3 percent).
75.3 percent of women and 62 percent of men are convinced that the healing method is becoming increasingly important. There is also high agreement with regard to the assessment of side effects. 64 percent of female respondents are convinced that homeopathy has hardly any side effects, and 55 percent of men are also sure of it. When it comes to research, men are more skeptical than women; only 40 percent of those questioned assume that the effectiveness of homeopathic medicines has been researched as well as that of others
